Question

FucoThin: Can it help burn fat?

Can FucoThin help me burn fat faster? Or increase weight loss?

Answer

from Katherine Zeratsky, R.D., L.D.

FucoThin is a dietary supplement that's intended to be used with a calorie-conscious diet and moderate exercise. The main ingredient of FucoThin is fucoxanthin, a substance found naturally in some types of seaweed. FucoThin manufacturers claim that the product speeds metabolism and burns fat. Several studies done on rats and mice show some promise for the weight-loss effects of fucoxanthin. However, to date, there are no clinical trials to show that fucoxanthin is safe or effective for human weight loss.

If you're hoping to lose weight, remember that no dietary supplement can replace the effects of a healthy lifestyle. The foundation of every successful weight-loss program still remains a healthy diet and regular physical activity. Resist the lure of quick and easy solutions. Instead, enjoy healthier foods and include physical activity in your daily routine.
