Car seat safety starts early

Car seat safety starts with your baby's first ride in a vehicle. But is the car seat installed correctly? Does it provide the safest fit?

The safest place for your child's car seat is the back seat. Before you install the seat, read both the manufacturer's instructions and the section on safety seats in the vehicle's owner's manual. Make sure the seat is tightly secured — allowing no more than one inch of movement from side to side or front to back — and facing the correct direction.

Check out this slide show for more tips on car seat safety.
